For those of you who are not familiar with us, the main service we provide is clothing alterations, which frequently requires working in close proximity with our customers.  We closed our business on March 20, 2020 a few days ahead of the Governors “stay at home” order for non-essential businesses.  Since then, I have become a schoolteacher to my two boys (4 & 7 year old), an SBA loan application expert and now a face mask manufacturer.  My dining room has literally become a face mask factory and my kids beg me to let them push the foot pedal of my sewing machine while I sew.  We are looking forward to re-open our store and continue to make our masks!

Product Description:

Our masks are made using the “Craft Passion Pocket Mask” pattern.  This is the design approved for donation to Yale New Haven Hospital because a surgical mask or other filter media can be inserted between the front of the mask and the lining.  The mask itself is made of two layers of woven cotton fabric and can be used alone or, in conjunction with additional filters. The masks have a sleeve across the top where a removable pipe-cleaner is inserted to shape the mask along the bridge of the nose.  We use two loops made of ¼” elastic that hook behind the ears.

The masks are available in four sizes:

Young Kid (7-12 years old)

Small Kid (3-6 years old)

The sizes are a helpful guide and the elastics allow for some flexibility.  You can use your judgement or you can print & cut out the paper patterns in the link above to see the actual size.  Due to the various sizes and fabrics, we are making each mask to order.  Please allow for 2-3 days time for your mask to be cut, sewn and QA. Then add on the shipping times below.

We ship our masks to the exact address you enter into your order on our site. We use the US Postal Service, first class postal mail. First class mail does not offer tracking. **PLEASE BE ADVISED- the postal mail has been slower than normal. Shipping out of state often seems to take over 7 business days. Mail within our state of CT seems to be taking anywhere from 5-7 business days. Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive an email confirmation.  We appreciate your patience! Once our store is re-opened we can arrange for curbside pick up there for anyone local, and give you a code at checkout to avoid the shipping charge.

Bulk Orders:

We can also produce bulk orders for your organization. Ask about our solid fabrics to choose from.  Contact me at enzo@valentinotailors.com for details.
